Identifying Netbus Versions.
1) Open your Windows Directory in Explorer or whatever File Manager you use.
Look in your Windows Directory for the following things:
*A Flaming torch Icon
*A Blue satellite dish icon (with a antenna).
*A grey satellite dish Icon with a Red arrow pointing to it.
If you found:
A Flaming torch Icon
You probably have Netbus 1.6 on your computer. Follow the steps on the NtToolbox to remove this ( See main page ).
If The Server's name was explore.exe
You could have WhackMole 1.6 on your computer, in which case you should follow the steps on the NtToolBox for removing it. (Make sure you delete the game file too which has an icon like this:
)
A Blue Satellite dish.
You could have Netbus 1.7 Present on your system. Follow the steps at NtToolbox (Main Page). Also Check to see if there is an INI file with the same name as the Server. Eg. If the Server was FUN.exe the INI would be called FUN.INI.
If the INI exists, the Netbus 1.7 could be passworded, just follow the steps at NtToolbox.
If you find that:
The server's name has a .dl_ extension, you Probably have WhackMole 1.7. In which Case you should look at Ecoli's Page. (Main Page)
A grey Satellite dish with a Red Arrow.
This icon might not be in the Windows Directory, it does not copy it there by default. So you may have to check your other directories first (Your downloads Directory is a good place to start) If you have this Icon you have Netbus 2.0 on your system.
Follow the steps on this homepage to remove it. Netbus 2.0
