This applet will only run from Netscape Navigator 4.X or above.

If you only have IE4.X, you need to perform the following steps before you can use Java IRC applet.

1) Open Up Internet Options ( View>>Internet Options ) 
   Click On the "Security Tab"
   At The "Zone" Dropdown Menu select "Internet Zone". 
   Under "Set Security for this zone" check the "Custom" checkbox. 
   Then press the "Settings" button. 

2) Scroll down until you see "Java". 
   Under "Java Permisons" check the checkbox that say "Custom".
   Press the "Java Custom Setting button". 
 
3) Click the "Edit Permisions" Tab.
   Under "Access to all Network address" check the "Enable" checkbox. 

4) Click OK
   Click OK
   Click OK

5) Java Chat Away.
